PARKS MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to provide and promote community leisure as well as recreational and cultural activities for all citizens.  This is accomplished through joint efforts of staff and community volunteers who work together in organizing recreational programs and activities.  Through this combined effort, we strive to enhance personal well being and to improve the quality of life that makes Zillah a great place to live, work, and play.

PARKS AND REC. PROGRAM

To Register for the 2011 Season

March 21st  Registration and Parent Meeting:
Registration and Parent Meeting Monday 6:30 p.m. at Civic Center. You may register at Zillah City Hall at any time.

April 11st Players assigned to coaches (coaches will contact players).

April 11th – 13thTeam Practice 6pm-7pm Monday and Wednsday @ Stewart Park.

April 18th  –  June 1st : League games. Games will be played Mondays and Wednesday 6pm-7pm @ Stewart Park.  (Schedule TBD)

Registration Note: 
Please complete the registration form(s)  and bring  to Registration.  Anyone wishing to register at other times may do so at Zillah City Hall.

Age Requirements:

Tee Ball for Tots: (co-ed) Boys and Girls ages 4 and under.

Tee Ball: (co-ed) Boys and Girls ages 5 & 6 years of age.
Example: Tee Ball — Any child is eligible that has reached his/her 5th birthday prior to October 1st, but will not have reached his/her 7th birthday by October 1st.

Coach/Pitch Baseball:  (co-ed) Boys and Girls ages 7-9 years of age.

Softball: Children ages 9-10 years of age.

Player Assignments:
The Parks & Recreation Department will assign players to teams.  Assignments will be made per random draw per age group. 

Volunteer Coach Selection:
Volunteer coaches will be selected during registration. 

ALL OTHER SPECIAL PLAY RULES
This league will play at Stewart Park (next to Zillah Civic Center).
Soft Tee balls will be used.
This league will adhere to "fair play and good sportsmanship”.
Teams Shirts (provided by league)
There will be no officials assigned to the games.
Scores/standings will not be kept.
Coaches are allowed on the field during play.
